LOCOROCO%20Box%20Art.jpgSony’s critically acclaimed Loco Roco is now available to the American public! This new game has been released exclusively for the PSP system and was first noticed at the 2006 E3 where it added a number of awards in its kitty.

Loco Roco is a fascinating 2D platform/action game where the players have complete control and the imagery has been inspired by director’s Tsutomu Kouno vision who is known for his fascination with oil and water in classic toys. Thus the players will come across some stunning and surreal imagery which constitutes slippery slopes, ropes and secret passages which also “grow, divide, sing, change shape, and overcome obstacles.”

The new PSP game takes off when the beautiful city of Loco Roco is attacked by diabolical aliens the Moja Corps who want to take the beautiful city back home! The inhabitants to protect their beloved city must move the city to safety! Sounds exciting doesn’t it? Other features include; three mini-games, wireless gaming and the customizable playhouse called LocoHouse. For more info visit Sony http://www.playstation.com/

At E3 2006, LocoRoco garnered the following awards: 1Up.com- Best PSP Game, GamesRadar.com- Best of E3 (PSP), GameSpy- Top 5 Handheld Games, IGN- PSP GAME OF THE SHOW, Best Puzzle Game of the Show (PSP), Best Artistic Design (PSP), Most Innovative Game (PSP), MTV GameTrailers- Best Puzzle Game and G4- Best Original Game of the Show.

"LocoRoco's charming characters, colorful environments and addictive play make will make it hard to resist the urge to share this game with friends," said Susan Nourai, director, online and product marketing, Sony Computer Entertainment America. "Even its whimsical soundtrack will have players humming the infectious music for the rest of the day!"
