Little Known Pantech Smashes Their Way into the European Market with 30 new Cell Phones at 3GSM.
The Korean Pantech Group, second largest mobile handset manufacturer in Korea, little known in the international arena, are slowly but surely making strides outside Korea and in the International market. Its not a secret that they are having plans to expand their global network, but this week at the 3GSM World Congress 2006, held in Barcelona, they will be breaking into the European with 30 new phones for Europe, it is thirty new phones for europe that is and 4 phones that have never seen before, check them out on this page, for new phones hav never been announced before, see below market with the announcement of 30 phones. Now!! thats a huge number considering the fact that they are still new at the international arena. Pantech has invested $200 Million so far in an effort to expand its global network. They also have some offices in Netherlands and Uk, which signifies their eagerness to expand their global network. Though it has taken them a while to realise that Europe is one of the hottest markets in the whole world when it comes to mobile phones, but as they say, its always better late then never.
Pantech PU-5000 -UMTS
The PU-5000 comes with a lot of hype behind it. It is called the "BIG-GUN" of the fleet. It a slider phone featuring dual cameras with 1.3 Megapixel and VGA functionality. It is a 3G UMTS(Universal Mobile Telephone System) multimedia phone. It also features video telephony and MP3 player. It is the next generation phone with broadband multi-media mobile telecommunications technology. Sorry no pic for this one.
Pantech G-8000- GSM
The Pantech PG 8000 is a GSM phone with 2.1-megapixel CCD camera, being its predominant feature(as opposed to the lower-quality CMOS camera in most phones), as well as built-in MP3 playing,MP4, FM radio, and Bluetooth. The phone boasts a very sophesticated digital camera(dica) look. The phone comes with a horizontal LCD display, which is a bit unique in itself and very light in weight despite the sophesticated design and not to mention the WAP 2.0/xHTM browser. It makes use of JAVA. Perhaps the only con is the phone memory as it is shared memory. The rest are pretty much ok.
Pantech IM-U1100- CDMAThis is another CDMA phone among the 12 CDMA phones that are to be demonstrated. It is basically a music phone with a 1GB flash drive. It has full gigabyte of storage and is powered by a two megapixel camera to top it. It supports AAC, MP3, and H.264 / MPEG4 playback and with flash drive, one can be assured of better battery life and has an anti-bacterial silver nano-coating. It also has the separate MP3 keypad as well.
Pantech IM-U100 -CDMA
The Pantech IM-U100 is a CDMA phone with PMP (Portable Multimedia Player) functionality. It is powered with a 2.6" QVGA screen, a 2MegaPIxel camera and. It has a neat compact desidn but not to everyone's liking, but has a good PMP capablities.The 2 mega-pixel camera also includes auto focus and PictBridge functionality, so that pictures can be printed without being connected to a computer. Also it features a T-Flash memory support/Full multitasking functionality, where users can save large volumes of data. First pic in article at the top is this phones pic.
