Linksys WIP300 and WIP330 Wireless-G IP Phones
Linksys, a Division of Cisco Systems, Inc today just unveiled two new Wireless telephony phones, the WIP300 and WIP330 Wireless-G IP Phones. This is the first time that Linksys is venturing in to wireless telephony and the new phones will let one make low-cost Voice over IP (VoIP) calls through 802.11g wireless networks. The phone through a Wireless-G network and high-speed Internet connection delivers top quality VoIP service.
The WIP330 is a pretty user friendly phone and can be used right out of the box once configured. It includes a built-in Internet browser for accessing wireless networks and services like web-based email, v web sites and Internet-based video can also be viewed or accessed. The phone includes a 2.2-inch color LCD display and also includes features like 3-way conferencing, call hold and resume, and caller ID.
The WIP300 features the SecureEasySetup (SES) functionality which can establish a connection between the phone and a Linksys Wireless-G router in a breeze. To make VOIP calls the phone also establishes a secure WPA-encrypted connection and the phone is also compliant with IEEE 802.11b/g standards. The phone includes a 1.8-inch color LCD display and a Backlit keypad.
