Sony Ericsson K800 and K790 Cyber-shot in Limited Edition James Bond Silver
What male has wanted to be James Bond? I mean, the guy’s life is full of action, women, and lots of cool gadgets. Even though you may never get all that, Sony Ericsson is now pleased to offer you a cool gadget. Sony Ericsson plans to launch a limited edition of their newest cell phones/cameras, the K800 and K790, in a special “James Bond†silver edition.
The phones are planned to coincide with the newest James Bond film, Casino Royale, which is slated to be released into theaters in November. Casino Royale is the twenty-first film in the biggest movie franchise ever, and will be released by Sony, as well as MGM. This film is the first to feature actor Daniel Craig as the famed 007, will at least reveal the making of the world’s greatest secret agent.
The K800 and K790, also known as the Cyber Shot, are used by Bond in the movie. Unlike most cell phones/cameras, the K800 (Dual mode UMTS 2100MHZ & GPRS) and K790 (Tri Band EDGE) are designed to work equally as good as cameras as they do as phones. Most cell phone cameras are only 1-2 megapixels, with no flash or focus features. The Cyber-Shot comes with a 3.2 Megapixel camera with Autofocus. It also comes with Xenon Flash for lowlight conditions, and BestPic, which allows you to take nine pictures of a moving object simultaneously and choose the best shot. You can even use high speed 3G data transfer to share your pictures with friends and family. Photos can also be uploaded to a personal online blogsite or to PictBridge, for printing onto a printer directly without the use of a PC.
Is it just me, or do the Sony Ericsson K800 and K790 actually sound like devices that a real 007 would actually use? These special edition phones are also equipped with James Bond content such as wallpapers, music ringtones, even a trailer for the movie. They will be available worldwide sometime this year.
