LG Water/Shock Resistant CanU 502S Cell Phone
LG Telecom in Korea has launched their newest canU phone, and from the looks of it is more promising than any of the previous canU models.
The 502S is a stylish and sporty clamshell phone that boasts of interesting new innovations that haven't found their way onto the phones we've seen of late.
On top of that list of cool features is its being water resistant. Although we don't know the extent of its water repelling properties, promotional materials show the phone submerged in water and swimming with sharks. It also has integrated port protectors to cover up all those shall we say open areas. The device is also Shock Resistant.
As in previous canU phones LG also worked withCasio to incorporate a compass with built in direction sensor and a stop watch. Both are located on the outside shell.
The phone features a 2.2-inch, 262K (320x240) QVGA color LCD, a built in MP3 Player (with MusicOn Hotkey), 128MB of internal memory and a 1.3 megapixel Camera.
And wait there's more... since the phone is meant for the outdoors, Sports and Lifestyle clothing brand EXR is also throwing in what they call an EXR package that includes a Cross Strap, Carabiner Strap, Buckle, Hand Strap, EXR Protector, and Hard Case.
The phone is available in Soul Green and Trendy Orange and retails for about $500. More details on the canU 502 Site ( Korean/Requires Flash). Via Aving.net
