Lexar Introduces New Line of High-Performance Memory Cards
Today at the 3GSM World Congress 2006 in Barcelona, Lexar, leaders in advanced digital media technologies and accessories, announced its full line of high-performance flash memory cards for use in mobile phones and other portable devices. Lexar manufactures variety of memory cards such as SD cards, MMC cards, and Memory Stick PRO Duo cards, with a wide selection of memory capacities and specialized applications. We know there is a huge demand these days for multimedia phones, with so many available in the market. As the Lexar Vice President says "It is predicted that 330 million phones will have memory card slots by the end of 2006, reaching 510 million by 2010. SD Cards
Available in capacities from 256MB to 2GB. The company's new SD cards provide a high-performance interface for multimedia applications, featuring built-in security applications for storing and playing secure content. Its available in Europe.
Mini SD cards
Lexar expands it's line of Mini-SD cards as well, which offers high-performance functionality at half the size of a conventional one. It includes a built in adaptor as well for their use in SD products and also has security features. It is available in capacities from 256MB to 1GB.
Micro SD cards
The ultra-compact design of Lexar's MicroSD cards make them ideal for use in mobile phones. They also include an adaptor so they can be used in all SD products.
Lexar MMCmobile
At half the size of the MMCplus universal card, it offers the same high-performance as MMC. Available in capacities from 256MB to 512MB and also includes built in adaptor
Lexar MMCmicro
The owners of this card can enjoy today's most advanced flash memory features. They also include an adaptor for use in all SD or MultiMediaCard products.
Lexar Memory Stick PRO Duo
Ideal for a variety of mobile applications, Memory Stick PRO Duo cards can be used in all products compatible with standard-size Memory Stick media using their built in adapter.
