It's been a long time since we mentioned anything related to the pleasant LaCie company, right now it's a good time to talk about them because yesterday they released new versions of their Mobile Hard Drives designed by FA Porsche. The recently released products can contain up to 500GB of data, connect via USB or FireWire, and work under Windows, Macs and Linux.

Olivier Mirloup from Lacie, comments:

LaCie’s awarded Design by F.A. Porsche hard drives are quiet, easy to carry and stack, and now have some of the largest capacities available at a low price per gigabyte. These drives are the fastest, easiest way to add storage to your computer, making room for lots of additional video, audio and music files.

An extra feature is the 1-click backup software for PC and Mac, so you are sure your files will be secure.

They will start shipping the new hard drives in October and prices go from $99 to $249, depending on the storage capacity and connectivity mode you chose. Here are the exact prices:

160GB – USB $99 | FireWire $119
250GB – USB $129 | FireWire $139
320GB – USB $159 | FireWire $189
500GB – USB $249 | FireWire is $279

As an alternative, the Hard Drives are also available on the Lacie online store.
