Kodak Has The Biggest Slice Of American Digital Camera Pie
The latest figures are out concerning the sale of digital cameras in the US and once again we have Kodak as the winner surpassing even giants like Canon, Nikon and Sony .According to IDC the domestic market grew to 24.9 percent in 2005 from 21 percent in 2004. A whopping number of 7.05 million digital cameras were shipped to U.S while Sony shipped about 4.78 million cameras. Kodak’s successful run according to them is due to film less imaging's emergence as a mass-market phenomenon and they taking full advantage of this phenomenon.Since then Kodak has started concentrating on higher-end models like the pocket-sized EasyShare V570.
