JVC Alneo XA-HD500 MP3 PlayerJVC announced their new MP3 player, the Alneo XA-HD500, with a 6GB hard drive and a huge number of on-board audio options.

Measuring in at 2" x 3.6" x 0.7 " and just 3.2 oz, the Alneo XA-HD500 comes with its own docking port to charge the device's battery, while at the same time providing audio outputs that can be connected to your desktop or hi-fi system for playback. It also comes with an IR remote. The system boasts of 30 hours playback time.

While the generic list of features may seem lacklustre (MP3, WMA playback, including DRM files, a USB 2.0 connectivity option for fast file transfers between the device and your PC), the Alneo packs a punch with its host of audio options - including digital surround listening modes, bass boost and superb sound quality thanks to JVC's audio enhancement technology for improving quality of compressed music. You can also use the Alneo XA-HD500 as an external storage device.

Priced at US $250, more info about the JVC Alneo XA-HD500 is available from JVC's website.
