Jens of Sweden MP-500 Portable Media Player
Jens of Sweden steps into iPod territory with the launch of their new portable media player, the Jens of Sweden MP-500. The MP-500 certainly looks stylish. It's one of the thinnest devices in its class - just 13mm thick - but packs in a remarkable set of functions under the hood. The MP-500 shell is made out of a scratch-proof material - perfect when taking it outdoors. It's available in two sizes, 1GB and 2GB. A highlight of the MP-500 is that it's firmware is upgradeable. So you could expect to add-on new features in future. The display consists of a 1.6" 260K color 128 x 128 color TFT LCD. The built-in stereo speakers are capable of surround sound effects. It's available in the United States now at a price of US$190 for the 1GB model and US$243 for the 2GB model. There is also a 2 GB Excentrique-edition with a 24 carat gold back side for only $274. All prices are ex VAT.
