iRiver U10Check out the new U10 portable A/V player from iriver. The new U10 sports a 2.2" color display and is now completely operable with a touch-sensitive display to control the device - no more messily arranged keys!

Supporting QVGA (320x240 pixels) resolution, the U10 comes with a 65k color screen and will be available either in 512MB or 1GB variants. Supported audio formats include MP3, WMA and WMA 10 DRM. For video, MPEG4-SP is supported; additional functionality includes the ability to view still images (JPEG), flash animation (neat thing, this one) and display text files.

The flash support is interesting to me; if it can play many of the readily available games (especially the Yeti games - my personal favorite), rock!

U10 comes with an built-in FM receiver, which coupled with the system's clock can be your personal radio clock. But hang on, you'll have to buy a compatible cradle with stereo speakers if you want to use this functionality. Other predictable capabilities of the U10 include audio recorder and a 3.5mm line-in jack for input from an external audio source.

The 512MB version is priced at US $200, while the 1GB version is available for US $250 (it's a no-brainer to go for this one, folks). More info about the iriver U10 portable A/V player is available from iriver's website.
