iRiver has announced the launch of its iRiver H10Jr mp3 player in Japan. This stylish player comes in four colors: Neo Silver (shown in the picture), Deep Lead, Slate Grey, and Midnight Blue. Further, the H10Jr comes in two capacities: 512MB and 1GB.

The iRiver H10Jr is super compact and weighs just 50 grams. It comes with a 1.2" LCD color display. There's a FM tuner and voice recorder thrown in as well. The 512MB model can store up to 120 tunes, record 8 hours of audio, and can record up to 35 hours of FM broadcasts at 32kbps or 17 hours at 64kbps. For the 1GB model these figures move up to 240 tunes, 16 hours of audio, and 70 (32kbps) and 35 hours (64kbps) of FM recording. Battery life is decent at 40 hours of continuous playback. Connectivity is via USB.

The 512MB model is priced at 9980 Yen and the 1GB model at 14980 Yen. You can purchase it in Japan off the e-store at http://www.iriver.co.jp/estore/ There is no word yet on when it will be released in the USA, but I'm sure it will be sometime soon.
