EDGE essentially takes the Apple iPod Docking Station and merges in a multi format flash memory card reader. The new dock supports the iPod nano, iPod mini, iPod photo, and regular iPod players.
You can use the new docking station to exactly function like the original docking station - sync and charge your iPod. In addition, there is a line out port for external speakers (which are not included) and a S-Video out port for viewing photos on a TV or monitor screen.
