FinePoint, a subsidiary of InPlay, announced that its new computing pen and digitizer technology has received additional purchase orders from a "major computer OEM". FinePoint's technology consists of a digitizer and digital writing pen, which happens to be an active RF pen - a step above the previously available analog pen technology.

The technology will be included in convertible notebooks - notebooks that double up as tablet PCs, where the digital pen technology would be much more applicable. An advantage with the RF pen technology is the lower power consumption of the notebook's battery.
