If you've always wanted to "feel" the gaming experience on your mobile phone, then you just might be able to do so soon. Immersion Corporation and I-play have come to an agreement whereby I-play will incorporate force feedback technology developed by Immersion into their mobile games.

The technology being licensed is called VibeTonz and it will soon find its way into two of I-plays most popular mobile phone games - 2Fast 2Furious and Metal Slug Mobile. Both games can be played on Samsung's SCH-n300 phone which is offered by Verizon Wireless (Verizon actually offers 2Fast 2Furious via their download service).

Immersion's VibeTonz is a software development kit (SDK) that game developers can use to add force feedback technology into their mobile games. The feedback is generated using the vibrate functionality found on most phones these days.

While I think it's cool you'll be able to "feel" the action, what I really would like is a bigger, more colorful screen on these phones - or perhaps just a higher resolution?
