iball.jpgAre you looking for a way to bring your iPod music with you around your house? How about bringing along the speakers instead? Oregon Scientific has a new funky looking wireless portable speaker system for the Apple iPod called the iBall. The system is compatible with all dock capable iPods including the latest nano. The iBall is actually two pieces - a transmitter base and a round 8 inch diameter speaker system.

The iBall uses 2.4 GHz airwaves to transmit music from the transmitter base to the actual speaker system. The iBall's transmitter base provides three different functions:

  • Sync's the iPod with your computer
  • Charges the iPod
  • Broadcasts music wirelessly.

The round globe houses a three speaker array system with a ported bass cavity. There are controls for adjusting the treble and bass on the speaker system and there's even a built in remote control unit to control the iPod wirelessly.

The iBall can run six to eight hours on rechargeable batteries or it can run directly off an AC adapter. Check out the product page for additional information.
