HTC TyTN and HTC MTeoR Phones
HTC recently unveiled the world’s first tri-band 3G Windows Mobile Pocket PC [TyTN] and 3G smartphone [MTeoR] which according to the company will be the right blend of style, functionality and performance. The two new phones not only sport funky spellings but also sport some impressive features and the tri-band UMTS 3G capabilities lets one full access in Europe, US and Asia.
The HTC [TyTN] will me marketed as a fun phone with easy messaging capabilities. The phone would include features like Direct Push email technology available with Windows Mobile 5.0, internet browsing, and synchronization with Microsoft Outlook Calendar, Contacts and email. This handset would also run the MS Office application fully and sports a QWERTY keyboard with a 2.8†color display with touch-screen. The handset for easy navigation has a jog dial and will have a 2 MP camera and a fully functional MP3 player. Another novel feature is the second camera exclusively for video telephony and there is a micro SD slot too.
The HTC [MTeoR] apart from its alluring name is also the world’s first 3G Windows Mobile 5.0 Smartphone with a candy bar design. This small wonder has dimensions of 112.4 x 49 x 14.8mm but don’t be fooled by its size. The handset features the Windows Mobile 5.0 Direct Push technology for immediate synchronization of email, calendar and notes and has document viewers for PDF, Word, Excel and PowerPoint. This smartphone also includes a 2.2†TFT LCD screen and built-in 1.3 Megapixel camera.No word on pricing, but both phones would be available in Europe in July.
