HP Photosmart R927 Digital Camera
Now we're talking some serious stuff from HP. The new HP Photosmart R927 digital camera, unveiled at the 2006 CES, has a host of great features, including 8.2 megapixel CCD, a large 3" preview LCD with 170° viewing angle and 3x optical zoom.
The HP R927 also offers 8x digital zoom, and with the hi-res images, you can easily take prints up to poster size. Of course, the on-board memory is nothing to write home about - it's just 32MB.
Featuring 17 shooting modes, this should definitely appeal to the amateurs, allowing for easy point-and-shoot high-quality images. HP also gives you in-camera red-eye removal. With the HP Design Gallery you can also add artistic effects and borders on the camera itself, which can come in handy for PC-free printing, thanks to the included PictBridge support.
Without batteries, the HP Photosmart R927 weighs 170 grams, and offers USB connectivity. Pricing has not yet been decided, and the camera will be released in N.America during March 2006. For more details, visit HP's website.
