HP Pavilion dv8000 series Notebook PC
HP unveiled a new 17" HP Pavilion dv8000 series Notebook PC, a powerful notebook computer boasting AMD Turion 64 mobile processor and featuring an ATI Radeon XPRESS 200m graphics card with 128MB VRAM. Bundled with QuickPlay, you can now conveniently manage and access your digital media collection with the dv8000 notebook.
The high-definition widescreen 17" display features BrightView display technology for a much better contrast ratio. QuickPlay enables users to watch movies or play music without having to boot the system - great for when you want to unwind but don't want to be tempted to check your e-mails. On select models, you even have the option to plug in a second hard drive, topping up your storage capacity to 240GB - ideal for movies, photos, music and more.
A 6-in-1 media card reader ensures you can transfer photos/media from a wide range of devices. With support for 802.11a/b/g and Bluetooth, you don't have to worry about those damn cables. Four USB 2.0 ports and one IEEE 1394 port complete the base package. All this in a 8.1 lb, 1.48" body.
Prices start at US $1,099 and will be available from November 2005 at HP Shopping.
