Apparently, HP's "cancelled" iPAQ hw6700 has been renamed the hw6900. Some more details on the new iPAQ were revealed on brighthand.com.

On the inside, a 416MHz processor is rumored. It could also include Microsoft's Application Kit Update (AKU) 2.0, featuring several improvements over Windows Mobile 5.0. This Pocket PC will also offer 802.11b wireless network connectivity.

With 128MB of flash ROM for storage, 64 megs of RAM is available for running apps on the device. A built-in GPS receiver and TomTom navigation software are other goodies. There will be two versions of the device - one with a 1.3 megapixel camera (the hw6915) and the other without a camera.

Measuring in at 4.7" (H) x 2.8" (W) x 0.8" (D), it weighs around 5.8 oz (165 grams). Not so pretty in your pocket. Expect it before the end of Q1 2006.
