13964.jpgHP announced their third highly mobile notebook in a day, the Compaq Presario V6000 that features a new design with touch-sensitive backlit buttons and volume control. V6000 is powered by a high-performance Mobile AMD Turion 64 X2 dual-core processor with an extra choice of Mobile AMD Sempron which runs on choices of Microsoft Windows XP Home Edition or Professional. It boasts a high-definition 15.4-inch WXGA Widescreen with resolutions of 1280 x 800 or probably you could get the one with BrightView Widescreen technology and NVIDIA GeForce Go 6150 graphic cards with NVIDIA nForce Go 430 chipset. If you like to watch your video without the annoying artifacts and imperfections of traditional PC-based video, then i guess this graphic card would be the best for you.

You have more choices of 512MB to 1GB RAM, 60GB to 120GB of 5400 RPM SATA HDD, 5-in-1 digital media card reader and the hard making decision of Super Multi 8X DVDR/RW with Double Layer Support or LightScribe 8X DVD+/-RW&CD-RW Combo w/Double Layer. Which one will you go for? Other than that, it also has a built-in 10/100/1000 Gigabit Ethernet (RJ-45 connector), three USB 2.0 ports, ExpressCard/54 slot, an RJ-11, an IEEE 1394 FireWire, an S-Video, and consumer IR. For wireless connections, the V6000 provides integrated 802.11b/g or 802.11a/b/g wireless LAN with optional Bluetooth. Watching movie on V6000 won't be much better with the integrated Altec Lansing stereo speakers and a long life standard 6-cell battery.

The good thing about V6000 is the capability of playing music and movies without booting up the system as well as access photo. This uses the HP QuickPlay 2.1 technology which is only available on some models of the notebook. Note that, Compaq Presario V6000 is also Windows Vista Capable. It weights 6.6 lbs with the size of 14.05" x 10.12" x 1". V6000 is now available at HPShopping with the base configuration price of USD849.99 after rebate.
