Hp Compaq nw9440 Mobile Workstation
Japanese Hewlett Packard Corp. introduce their new notebook, the HP Compaq nw9440 mobile workstation that is powered by Windows XP Professional. It runs on Intel Core Duo processor T2300E (2MB L2 cache, 1.66GHz and 677MHz FSB), Intel 945M Express chipset, 1024MB PC-5300 DDR2-SDRAM with maximum memory up to 4GB and 80GB SATA HDD with the speed of 7200RPM and SMART function. Watching movies and playing games shouldn't be a problem on this notebook with the 17 inch WSXGA+ TFT LCD screen that can support resolutions up to 1680 x 1050 and 256MB NVIDIA Quadro FX 1500M graphic card.
HP is clever enough to add a one-touch button for easy access to presentation mode, info center, radio button, volume control and portable calculator button. It also has a super multiple DVD drive, integrated Gigabit Ethernet LAN and IEEE802.11b/g WiFi connectivity with wireless LAN security ( 64/128bit WEP, WPA, WPA2, hardware-accelerated AES, 802.1x authentication types EAP-TLS, EAP-TTLS, PEAP-GTC, PEAP-MSCHAPv2, LEAP, EAP-FAST and EAP-SIM). On the connection side, it has a built-in PC card slot, mini D-Sub 15 pin, IEEE1394 port, RJ11, RJ45, USB2.0, stereo microphone input and 7-in-1 media with smart card slots.
Upon fully charged on 8 cells Lithium ion battery, the whole operation could last up to 4.5 hours. It weighs 3.4kg with the size of 393 x 275 x 33mm. It will be available from today onwards with the whooping price of 260,400Yen (USD2,266) for T2300E processor and 491,400Yen (USD4,276) for T2600 processor/2GB RAM.
