HP today unveiled a whole slew of notebooks the first in line is the HP Compaq nc2400 Notebook which is HP's thinnest and lightest notebook with optical drive to date. The notebook according to HP is the perfect amalgamation of style, weight and functionality and is perfect for home and office environments.
The HP Compaq nc2400 comes preloaded with the Microsoft® Windows® XP OS and FreeDOS. Weighing just 2.8 lbs (1.29kg) and is 24.8 mm thick. Thus the new HP notebook delivers extra mobility and can be lugged anywhere. Users can configure the notebook according to their needs and opt for either Intel® Core™ Solo Processors U1300 to U1400 and for a finer display includes Intel® Graphics Media Accelerator 950.For the ultimate visual display , the notebook also incorporates a 12.1-inch TFT WXGA LCD.The on board RAM is about 512 MB which of course can be expanded. Another feature which we liked on the notebook is that it provides users with three battery solutions. It also includes Touch Sensitive Controls for making navigation a breeze.
The HP Compaq nc2400 as mentioned by us earlier is configured according to an individuals needs. One can opt for a DVD/CD-RW Combo or DVD+/-RW SuperMulti with Double Layer. Hard drive on the notebook has a storage capacity of 40 GB which can be expanded.
