HP hw6920 For Cingular

HP's new iPAQ hw6920 Mobile Messenger will be offered to Cingular customers in the US. The hw6920 runs on Microsoft Windows Mobile 5.0 and offers a host of connectivity options, including GPRS/EDGE and Wi-Fi to access the Internet.

The hw6920 also comes with GPS navigation capabilities. Bluetooth and Infrared are available for short-range wireless communication. One of the nice things about this cell phone is that it comes with Messaging and Security Feature Pack, giving a lot more control to the user in case the device is lost or stolen. Things like remote wipe and remotely controlled IP policies make it suitable for the business types.

The HP iPAQ hw6920 Mobile Messenger will be available starting October 31, 2006 from Cingular for US $359.99 with a two-year contract.

    Cingular and T-Mobile set to release HP hw6900 soon?

    MobilityToday is reporting that Cingular and T-Mobile are both getting ready to launch the new HP hw6900/hw6925 Mobile Messenger. The release could come as early as this weekend but don't count your chickens before they're hatched. This smartphone has been in the news for quite some time now and yet no official product release. However, if you're still looking out for this phone, make sure to check with Cingular and/or T-Mobile within the week to see if it's available.

    HP iPAQ hw6940 PDA SmartPhone

    HP iPAQ hw6940Check out the new HP iPAQ hw6940 from Hewlett-Packard. One of the Mobile Messengers, the hw6940 is a GSM quad-band world phone that packs a punch with essential features for business users, including secure access and Internet access with GPRS/EDGE and Wi-Fi networks.

    The HP hw6940 also features Bluetooth and thanks to the built-in GPS receiver, you can use it for easier navigation. It's not just about work, and the fun part comes with a Photosmart camera integrated into the device.

    HP has just published a cool demo on their website (available here). Powered by Windows Mobile 5.0, it includes some of the latest software including Windows Media Player and enough business software to put other PDA phones to shame.

    With the integrated mini-SD slot, you can expand on the (tiny) 45MB available on the phone for user storage. A 3" transflective TFT display at 240x240 pixel resolution (why not QVGA? I have no idea) capable of 64k colors. Further details are available from HP's website.

    HP iPAQ rw6800 Announced in Asia

    HP iPAQ rw6800 Multimedia Messenger SeriesHP's new iPAQ series, the HP rw6800 Multimedia Messenger, has just been announced in Asia. Phones in this series are mini-beasts in your pocket, boasting Windows Mobile 5.0, a 2.7" 262k color QVGA (240x320 pixel resolution) screen and a 2 megapixel camera to boot.

    Equipped with dual stereo speakers, you can expect some pretty neat 3D sound effects with the rw6800 from the included FM radio or MP3 player. The phone is GSM tri-band, with GPRS and EDGE capabilities. 3G fans will be disappointed, but no worries - this thing has Wi-Fi capability which is a consolation.

    According to See Chin-Teik, VP of Consumer Products for HP Asia-Pasific and Japan, the rw6800 series has been designed in Asia with the Asian consumer in mind, reflecting on minimalist style. This PDA phone includes 128MB flash ROM as well as 64MB for user apps. HP claims a 5.5 hour talk-time and 280 hour standby time.

    This announcement gives European and USA citizens some indication that it maybe announced in their countries too soon. Let's wait and watch. Check out HP's website.

    HP has a new Laptop offering called the HP dv1000t, it is compact and lightweight and is not only multi functional but a great digital experience too. The dv 1000t has all the features, like HP QuickPlay, dual headphone jacks, Altec Lansing speakers, a port for an All-in-One Media Cable, and HP Photosmart Premier software.

    It has a Intel Graphics Media Accelerator 900 Card for extreme performance and a memory speed of 333MHz DDR SDRAM. When talking about a hard drive it offers a whopping 10 0GB 4200 RPM Hard drive and for connectivity users can either opt for Intel PRO/Wireless 2200BG WLAN or 54g 802.11b/g WLAN w/ 125HSM/SpeedBoosteR.The dv1000 comes in with 2 options of display either the 14.0" WXGA Widescreen (1280x768) or the 14.0" WXGA BrightView Widescreen (1280x768).

    The HP dv 1000t is a higher model than the previous dv 1000 and has a Intel® Core™ Duo processor up to T2500 (2.0 GHz). It has memory speed of 533MHz DDR2 SDRAM and an Graphics Media Accelerator 950 card. Like its sibling it also comes with 2 display options which being 14.0" WXGA Widescreen (1280x768) or 14.0" WXGA BrightView Widescreen (1280x768).

    HP iPAQ HW6715 PDA Phone

    HP iPAQ hw6715 Mobile MessengerIt looks like HP will soon be releasing the HP iPAQ HW6715 PDA Phone, MobilTechReview reported that on the 12th of August, some information for the HP iPAQ HW6715 PDA Phone was posted on the HP UK website. So hopefully they will be releasing it soon, I will let you know when it's official. It might be carried by Cingular. We have managed to get some specs and pics of it, check it out.
