Hasselblad H2D39 Hasselblad CFH39

If you are drooling all over just seeing these beauties, be prepared to drool some more as you read the technical specifications for Hasselbald's latest lineup, the H2D-39 digital SLR camera and the CF-39, CF-39MS, and CFH-39 camera backs. The "39" actually stands for 39 megapixels - a first in this world!

Technical Information:

- Hasselblad H2D-39
- Hasselblad CFH-39
- Hasselblad CF-39/CF-39 MS

Welcome back. The new products combine the power of Hasselblad's new and true 39 megapixel CCD sensor, Digital APO Correction (DAC) technology, and Hasselblad Natural Color Solution. The new products also deliver images of unsurpassed sharpness and resolution and at the same time reduce any moiré effect to a minimum – a first in the history of digital photography.

The H2D39 is a very flexible product. It's compatible with the full range of Hasselblad H System lenses, as well as with the Hasselblad V camera lens system. The CFH-39, CF-39, and CF-39MS camera backs are perfect for both mobile and studio shooting. They are compatible with the H2 series. The CFH-39 goes one ahead and integrates fully with the power system of the Hasselblad H2, so that both camera and digital back can be powered by the H2's Li-ion battery.

The new Hasselblad Natural Color Solution system required Hasselblad to develop a new image file format. So they came out with the 3F RAW (3FR), which yields a lossless image compression and saves 33% of storage space. 3FR files can be converted directly into Adobe's raw image format DNG (‘Digital NeGative').

The new Hasselblad products will be rolled out worldwide through Hasselblad's national subsidiaries and channel partners in Q1 2006. And, if you already own a Hasselblad (lucky you!), an extensive upgrade program is available to existing Hasselblad customers to enable them to take advantage of the full benefits of the new products.
