Genus Type-R DAB

If retro style is one of the things that you admire the most you will certainly like the Genus Type-R DAB radio as well, while from the outside it has the old-school-stylish look, in the inside the technology world makes it pretty different from the others.
Featuring a touch-sensitive control system will sure make a good impression to your friends, the only thing you need to do in case you want to turn the volume up or down is to run your finger in the LED screen, same thing applies when you need to change settings. As if this feature wasn't enough for such a cool design on a DAB (digital audio broadcasting) radio, it also has another cool particularity - a sensor that turns a light on whenever it "feels" something (probably your hand) is approaching. On the outside they added freaky materials: the sides are made of walnut - a material that is also used to create bowls and other similar pieces; on the back (rear panel) we have the rich aspect with hand embossed leather; anodized aluminum chassis is just another positive point.
Talking again about the technology part, the sound system makes use of MaxxBass tech which is probably good for the poor 2-watt speakers. Radio is not the only thing you can listen with this device since it also comes with a line-in to connect mp3 devices (like iPods and others), a line out to make a connection with your home-stereo-hi-fi-system. And if you think about talking it back for a walk, don't forget the option rechargeable battery.
Genus Type-R DAB will be available in October for £150 (around $280, and €225 for that matter...), on the meanwhile you can visit the Genus Website and see the other products they have to offer.
