Our friends at OhGizmo did a hands on review of the Gelaskins which are skin covers for the iPod and are made of 3M adhesive and vinyl technology. The reviewer gives brownie points to the Gelaskins for its price tag, its docking option, its funky design and its intuitive layout. However what he didn’t dig was the fact that it didn’t cover the iPod fully and actually started to peel off after a while!

The Gelaskins is a great option for those who don’t want to spend much on iPod protective cases and those who want to stand out from the crowd. The designs are pretty funky and the makers have a whole variety of cool designs to choose from. Unlike other clingy covers this one doesn’t produce any air bubbles and one can also dock their iPod with ease.

In the end the review ends on a mixed note and concludes “A decent product for those who use their iPod sparingly or keep it docked but want some protection without spending a lot of cash. Not for the everyday user, unfortunately, despite the very nice and extremely attractive designs they have”.
