Gateway M255-E Laptop - IT-Friendly and Lightweight
Calif.based Gateway, one of the most respected brands in the business, has unveiled its latest lightweight performance Gateway M255-E notebook. The M255 provides usability and IT-friendly features that make it ideal for professional customers. Building on the success of it's predeccessor, the award winning M250, M255-E has been redesigned to provide even more benefits for networked professional environments.
The Gateway M255-E is powered by Intel Core Duo Processor T2300 with clock speeds running up to 1.66 GHz with 2MB L2 Cache memory and BUS speed of 667MHz FSB. The memory includes a 512MB 533MHz DDR2 RAM and two 256 SDRAMs for SDRAM modules. It comes with a Serial ATA 40GB hardrive and the optical storage includes a very basic Modular 24x CD-ROM Drive. The Gateway M255-E comes standard with Microsoft Windows XP Professional Edition and meets or exceeds Microsoft's Windows Vista Planning Guidelines. The M255-E boasts of a 14.1" WXGA TFT Active Matrix screen capable of 1280 x 800 max. resolution.
On the connectivity side the M255-E features a Wi-Fi, a 802.11a/b/g WiFi for LAN, plus optional Bluetooth technology and extended battery life options. Also included are two softwares, Adobe Acrobat Reader 7.0 and the security software, Symantec Client Security 3.0 90-day complimentary subscription.
