The new Gateway E-100M UltraPortable Notebook PC which was first seen at the CeBIT has started shipping from today. The notebook has Intel Centrino Mobile Technology and Intel Core Solo Ultra Low Voltage processor. The Gateway E-100M is extremely rich in features.

The notebooks are very sleek and weigh around just three pounds. They feature a 12.1-inch WXGA widescreen TFT Active Matrix Display which has a maximum resolution of 1280x800. The notebooks are also designed to be durable and have solid black magnesium housing and an anodized brushed aluminum keyboard. All the latest technologies can be found on the notebooks including Intel Centrino Mobile Technology with support for the latest Intel Core Solo Ultra Low Voltage Processors. For gaming and other high end videos graphic applications the new Intel Graphics Media Accelerator 950 with support to Microsoft DirectX 9.0 has been included too.

The Gateway E-100M includes two USB 2.0 ports, one IEEE 1394 port and 6-in-1 Media Card Reader. The Gateway E-100M comes standard with Microsoft Windows(R) XP Professional Edition. It is also Vista capable and users can add an optional external multi-format double-layer DVD burner. It comes with an integrated 802.11 a/b/g Wi-Fi and also features Intel 10/100/1000 Gigabit Ethernet and an integrated V.92 56K modem.
