The portable Garmin StreetPilot c510 is the latest addition to the ever popular StreetPilot c-series. An extremely user friendly and simple automotive navigator, the c510 offers great features at an affordable price and include enhancements like FM TMC traffic alert and a customized points of interest (POIs) commands.

The Garmin StreetPilot c510 is compact and sports a streamed line design making it truly portable. The high sensitivity GPS receiver results in crystal clear signal even in areas like a dense forest or a heavy populated city with skyscrapers. Care has been taken to achieve an automotive-grade, sunlight-readable, anti-glare display. The Configurable vehicle icons are great fun too as it allows one to select customized car-shaped icon. . The anti theft system is another great additional and unless the 4 letter pin is provided one can’t access the device.

The Garmin c510 also includes European map data, and has features like automatic routing, and 2D or 3D map perspective, making navigation a whole lot easy. There is a StreetPilot c510D “deluxe” package too which includes DVD-ROM with fully unlocked European map coverage and an integrated traffic receiver. No word on pricing but will be available by the second quarter of 2006.
