garmin_streetpilot_c320_big.jpgGarmin International, Inc has gone truly global and today launched an exclusive version of the Garmin c330 which would be able to give instructions in Mandarin Chinese, Japanese, Korean, Thai, or Taiwanese. For those who are not perfectly fluent in English, this version would be very attractive. This version has been aptly named The Garmin c330 Asian Americas and is based on the renowned Garmin’s Personal Navigation Device.

The Garmin c330 Asian Americas like all Garmin models would feature an intuitive touchscreen interface and is also capable of automatically calculating the route of any destination with turn-by-turn voice prompted directions in Asian languages. This would be the only navigational device in the US which would feature South Eastern languages and even the menus and texts would be displayed in one of five Asian languages.

This is a very smart move by Garmin as almost as six million people in the United States and Canada speak the above mentioned languages. The devices would come preloaded with maps of United States, Canada, and Puerto Rico and include six million-plus points of interest. The Garmin c330 is available in May 2006 at an MSRP of $599.99 and would include accessories like suction cup mount, 12-volt adapter, USB cable, and Asian language quick reference guide.
