garmin_gvn52.jpgGarmin unveiled the GVN 52, a customer-configurable black-box GPS navigation system using GPS hardware and StreetPilot UI, at the 2006 CES. Garmin GVN 52 is designed to be integrated with mobile audio/video entertainment systems. Kenwood and Riverpark will be the first to offer car audio products that feature the GVN 52.

The GVN 52 can be customized to specific requirements, but the StreetPilot interface and GPS hardware remain constant. Users can choose specific addresses or points of interest, and the text-to-speech engine will deliver turn-by-turn directions.

Maps of the USA, Canada, Puerto Rico and Western Europe are included as well. Other cool features that can be integrated over GVN 52 include touch screen, wireless remote, traffic info, audio and data through Garmin's GXM 30 and others.

Kenwood's KNA-G510 featuring GVN 52 is also on display at the CES. Garmin is at booth #35920 at the CES. www.gamin.com.
