The sea cartography data is especially useful since it includes Marine Detail Charts of the US coastline (including Alaska and Hawaii). With Garmin's BlueChart g2 technology, these charts provide rich detail and features shaded depth contours, wrecks, restricted areas among other things.
Both the Garmin GPSMAP 378 and Garmin GPSMAP 478 devices are waterproof, and offer a 256-color TFT display. Map data can be downloaded via a hi-speed USB interface from the PC, and store them on the unit's data card slot.
If you're out on an angling trip or just boating inland, the GPSMAP 378 offers you a 10m resolution for over 3,200 lakes including depth contours. If that's not enough, how about 50m shoreline resolution across continental US?
