Gamepark GP2X Linux PMP MobileMag reports that Gamepark's portable all-in-one, the GP2X PMP, will start shipping soon. One of the best features of the GP2X is that it runs Linux, and comes with a big 3.5" 320x240 (QVGA resolution) LCD. The fact that it runs Linux should appeal to hackers - since you can easily develop your own applications and run them on the GP2X console.

With up to 64 megs of memory, the GP2X offers a slot for SD cards.

With the battery, it weighs over 200 grams. Oh, and it comes with S-Video and stereo output as well - so you can connect it to a TV too. With just 2 AA batteries, you get a DivX, Xvid, MPEG, WMV, WMA, MP3 and OGG files, apart from the ability to play SNES and MAME games.

The console itself looks very stylish in black and is affordable, the USP being extensibility.

Priced at US $179, it is available soon from Play-Asia's website.
