Fujitsu LifeBook P1500D NoteBook
Today Fujitsu announced the Industry’s Smallest and Lightest Pen-Enabled Convertible Notebook, The Ultra-Portable, Extremely Lightweight and Versatile Fujitsu LifeBook P1510D NoteBook.
Mobility without tradeoffs -Fujitsu LifeBook P1510D notebook packs full functionality and long battery life into 8.9”touchscreen display and 2.2 pounds of on-the-go computing
The Fujitsu LifeBook P1510D notebook is compact enough to go anywhere and light enough to hold effortlessly, with the versatility to easily convert from a conventional notebook into a slate Tablet PC.
The P1510D sells for $1499.00
Slightly larger than a DVD case and perfect for sliding into a lab coat pocket, the Fujitsu P1510D notebook weighs in at a scant 2.2 pounds and is equipped with a bright, compact 8.9” wide SVGA touch screen display making it ideal for the mobile workforce or person on the go. Use it in tablet mode and navigate easily through forms-based applications used extensively in healthcare, field and sales force automation and supply chain management, or use the pen stylus and eliminate the need for a notepad and paper archives. Easily rotate the screen and tilt it up to transform the Fujitsu P1510D notebook into a standard notebook with a keyboard for versatility and mobility without compromise.
“The market continues to embrace mobility as organizations explore new ways to enhance productivity,” said Richard Shim, senior research analyst for personal computing at IDC. “By further enhancing the benefits of a fully functional notebook in an even smaller and more convenient form factor, tablets can expand the possibilities for improving the way people work.”
The Fujitsu P1510D notebook, the successor to the popular LifeBook P1000 notebook, is powered by the Intel® Pentium® M Processor Ultra Low Voltage 753 and 915GMS chipset with up to 1GB of system memory. Designed for the highly mobile user, this full-function ultra-portable convertible is the ideal traveling companion delivering extended battery life of up to seven hours for keeping up with a busy workday or lifestyle, a shock-mounted hard drive for peace of mind, an easy-to-use intuitive touch screen — all secured with embedded Trusted Platform Module (TPM) and a biometric fingerprint swipe sensor. Maximum productivity is ensured with built-in modem, LAN and optional Atheros® Super AG™ WLAN with dual diversity antenna, delivering excellent connectivity and data transfer rates.
“PDA-type devices have challenging attributes such as small screen and minimal storage along with other constraints, and small tablets force consumers to relinquish the keyboard, which many find unacceptable,” said Paul Moore, director of mobile product marketing, Fujitsu Computer Systems. “The Fujitsu P1510D notebook is a full-blown touch screen PC that converts into slate format, delivering the mobility of a small device, but without any tradeoffs. The LifeBook P1510D notebook breaks new ground in mobile computing by offering today’s mobile culture a single device that works in all environments.”
In addition to converting from a standard notebook into a slate tablet, the Fujitsu LifeBook P1510D notebook can be converted into a desktop PC. With industry standard ports and card slots, it’s easy to attach a standard keyboard or large screen monitor. An optional docking station is available for drop-and-dock convenience. Full Microsoft Windows XP Professional support ensures complete compatibility with all Microsoft applications. Productivity and effectiveness are enhanced by enabling inking and note-taking with support for included third-party applications EverNote™ Plus 1.0 for Windows note management software, ritePen® 2.5 with next-generation handwriting recognition and Fortune Fountain™ DialKeys™ which provide on-screen keyboards and thumbpads.

Fujitsu LifeBook P1510 Reviews: Pcmag Reviews the Fujitsu LifeBook P1510 and they say -"The beautiful, new Fujitsu LifeBook P1510 does what its predecessor (the Fujitsu LifeBook P1000 couldn't do—perform. The P1510 loses the sluggish Transmeta processor in favor of a speedier Pentium M 753. But that's not all. This mini, 2.2-pound ultraportable laptop can now convert into a tablet, with just a swivel of its screen. This impressive system also comes at a reasonable price—$1,649 (as tested)—earning an Editors' Choice for mini PCs."
