mc02.jpgFujitsu Japan is going to launch the F902iS handset very soon which boasts of some next generation technologies. For starters, the new F902iS will sport the Felica technology in addition to its fingerprints analyzing capabilities! Sounds impressive doesn’t it?

For the uninitiated, Felica is a path breaking technology developed by Sony which changes the way we buy tickets and handle our credit cards! The contactless IC card technology lets one access a host of services via one single card, making life much more convienient and hassle free. This has caught the attention of Fujitso who have incorporated the technology in their new F902iS mobile handset! The best part being that Fujitso haven’t just stopped here and for enhanced security have incorporated bio-certification too.

Via the fingerprint sensor, upto 10 fingerprints can be stored in the phone data , where each set of fingerprints will have a limited set of privileges. The fingerprint analyzer is located at the back of the phone and can be over-ridden by a password. The phone will further appeal to our Japanese cousins as it fully supports WMA or Windows Media Audio function , which is not common in the East. One can simply set up transfers between the handset and a PC using a USB cable.

The Fujitsu F902iS sports a smart clamshell design and measures 50 × 107 × 19.7 mm. Weighing around 120 grams, the handset is based on a Symbian Operating system. In fact according to the company, this handset is perfect for music lovers. No word on pricing or availability but we shall keep you updated on this very cool phone.
