Fujifilm today announced that its high capacity Blu-ray and HD DVD media will be available from mid 2006. As gaming and entertainment technologies are becoming more and more advanced, the need for high storage capacities has forced companies to adopt one of these competing media formats. Sony's much awaited playstation 3 uses the game discs in Blu-ray format.

With its expertise in photosensitive materials, dye-coating and usage of advanced polymers, Fujifilm has created these media which ensure high precision and quality of signal strength.
