Fuji FinePix IS-1 Infrared Digital Camera

ViewMedia-2.jpegThe Fuji FinePix IS-1 Infrared Digital Camera may not be suited for common folks unless you are a CSI buff, but this nine MegaPixel Fujifilm DSLR is ideal for law enforcement, medical/dental and science fields and is actually a follow-up model to the FinePix S3 Pro UVIR D-SLR.

Thanks to its infra-red capabilities, the Fuji FinePix IS-1 can capture evidence which is not seen by the human eye and functions in both the visible and infrared light spectrums. The biggest selling point is no doubt its live preview feature and an "articulating LCD" which further simplifies previewing, capturing and reviewing photos.

The Fuji FinePix IS-1 is equipped with a built in 10.7x, 28-300mm optical zoom system and features a nine MegaPixel Fujifilm Super CCD sensor and ISO 80-1600 (in case of capturing a visible light image) capabilities. The on board proprietary Real Photo Technology captures images in infra red light (approximately 400nm –900nm) and the Picture Stabilization technology makes for sharper images.

The infra-red camera comes bundled with the Fujifilm Hyper Utility Software HS-V2 version 3 which also supports RAW and helps in side-by side image comparison via the metadata analysis tool which helps in examining images of blood stains, documents or other forms of evidence. The Fuji FinePix IS-1 will be available from February for $899.

    Fuji Finepix A700 Digital Camera

fujifilm-FinePix-A700-front-tm.jpgFujifilm has created a camera designed for the rest of the world who only want point-and-shoot ease. The Fuji FinePix A700 is a lovely digital camera with a rugged compact body that takes wonderfully realistic pictures. It is also designed with a very simple control layout so that even a beginner can use it with precision. So even though many of these features sounds difficult to work, FujiFilm promises that any user can do anything with the camera’s user-friendly design. The camera is also very robust, to withstand the wear-and-tear of family usage.

The LCD viewscreen is 2.4 inches with 7.3 Megapixels, which gives you clear visibility for whatever pictures you want to take. It features Super CCD technology that is designed to produce sharper, more detailed pictures. CCD technology also gives low noise performance with its ISO 100-400 sensitivity range. The Fuji Finepix A700 also has a 3x optical zoom, designed for the FinePix series, during the times when you want a good close up.

Adapting to lighting is also not a problem. There are also 4 scene position modes (Portrait, Landscape, Sport, and Night), so that you can select various types of images for whatever the lighting. This is important because every photo requires a different set up, and the Finepix is already to go!

Not only is it a camera, but it also shoots video at 10 movie frames per second with sound. The Fuji Finepix A700 features NTSC/PAL connectivity so that video (as well as stills) can be viewed on a television screen. The camera also contains 12MB of internal memory, and is compatible with memory cards. The FinePix is also PictBridge compatible, so that printing of digital photos can be done without the use of a Personal Computer.

There is no word on the release date or the exact price.

    FUJIFILM FinePix V10 Digital Camera

FUJIFILM FinePix V10 Digital CameraThe FujiFilm FinePix V10 Digital Camera also contributes to the Fujifilm’s latest product ranges of New Year launches.

Loaded with Fujifilm’s innovation Super CCD-HR technology of digital imaging sensor design for shooting high quality images, the Fuji V10 also incorporates Real Photo Technology. The Real Photo Technology was invented to remove noise from digital pictures so that pictures at higher light sensitivities can be better captured even as high as 1600 ISO.

Fuji V10 is a 5.1 Mega Pixel camera that has a big LCD of 3”. The image display could also be zoomed to set image focus & details. As the camera has some inbuilt games so the large LCD size will definitely be an advantage for game maniacs. The best function I like is that the Fuji V10 is capable of taking two pictures at once. Subject magnification could be up to 3.4x by optical zoom and 5.7x by digital zoom.

The Gun-metal finish with flamboyance of chrome makes the look of V10 awe-inspiring. Style and Performance with ease of use really make you feel like being the owner of it.

Detailed specifications can be found at manufactures site. The company decided to set the cost of product at a price of $349. The FinePix V10 will be in stores this march.
