FCC Approves Novogo GPS Device

The FCC formally gave its seal of approval to the Novogo GPS personal navigation device. Optimized for in-vehicle use, the Novogo system offers both single and multi-point routes, and is capable of planning routes throughout the map region available on the memory card. It's also got Bluetooth.
The device comes with a touchscreen for convenience, although there's no stylus around. One of the interesting things about Novogo is that there are no pull-down or pop-up menus. Everything can be accessed on the on-screen menu or hardware buttons.
The simple interface allows users to zoom in/out and drag the map around. The map can be viewed in 2D or 3D modes. Another nice thing about Novogo is that it offers both QWERTY and ABC type keyboards, apart from QWERTZ (German) and AZERTY (French) keyboards.
No word on pricing yet, but it should hit the markets soon.
