NBC - Winter Olympics 2006If participating in trivia challenges through your mobile fascinates you, then please sign up for the "NBC Olympics Trivia Challenge" by texting the word "TRIVIA" to 62288 (NBCTV). Yeah, that's one of the ways NBC Olympics and GoldPocket Wireless are bringing the excitement of the games straight to your cell phone. With this service you can vote for which athletes deserve the gold, text in questions for show announcers, and receive breaking news alerts on your favorite athletes and events. The service has already started and will go right through the games. Oh, I forgot! It costs only US$0.99.

Here's the funny part. There's a show called Olympic Ice, hosted by someone named Dick Button, which will air daily at 6 p.m. EST on USA Network. You can ask questions by texting the word "PUSH," followed by the question text, to 62288. Dick Button will then answer them on-air during the "Push Dick's Button" segment of the show. What a twisted name for a show!

GoldPocket Wireless is also powering mobile alerts from NBCOlympics.com. GoldPocket's APIs are integrating with the website to provide real-time breaking news alerts in over one hundred categories, including USA gold medal updates, as well as updates on specific events and athletes.

If you haven't already slept by now, I really admire you. Want more? Head over to the NBC Olympics website.
