The EcoFest is an event held in New York City with the intention to show everything eco-friendly-related. From solar cars to natural gas vehicles and alternative health, they have it all to protect the environment and provide this information in exhibitions and seminars. There were some cool 2, 3 and 4 wheel vehicles presented at EcoFest and that is we are about to reveal.

Blue Sky Solar Racing – Faust II
This is a big project developed by more than 100 students from the University of Toronto, they started working in these kind of cars in 1997 with the first vehicle called Blue Sky Project. On 2001 they created the first edition of Faust, and for the EcoFest they presented the second edition – Faust II – which is the one you can see in the image, a single-seat solar race car. It weights 200kg, has a top speed of 75mph (120km/h) and the solar base can generate 1050 watts.

Bicy-Taxi
The Bicy-Taxi reminds me of the Japanese bicycle taxis, only difference is that these kind of taxis happen to exist in New York. It's an alternative instead of the normal taxis, they are powered by human force (have bicycle pedals) with the assistance of an electric motor for the difficult times like climbing hills, or whenever the vehicle is too heavy. Cheap and reliable are the 2 main words when taking a look at the Bicy-Taxi, it costs $1 per block and the minimum distance is 10 blocks, so the least you're going to pay for a Bicy-Taxi in the Manhattan area is $10.
