Dual mode SG-2520

The SG-2520 is a distinct mobile phone with a special feature that marks the difference from the all others, which feature is that? Dual-mode GSM/satellite - this means that you can use it anywhere in the world: middle of an ocean, inside a cave, on the center of the Amazon at Brazil, and so on. When the GSM mode doesn't have enough network to make/receive a call, it will switch to the satellite mode by connecting through an artificial satellite, and there will be no extra roaming costs.

Since the other satellite phones only provide basic features, the creators of SG-2520 (Asia Pacific Satellite Industry) have also improved that section by adding what others don't have, like the ability to listen to music via a mp3 player, take photos from a 1.3MP camera, bluetooth, infrared and USB communication, GPS, fax, among others. It looks a bit bulky and the measures comprove that: 138 x 53 x 19mm at 180g. The 2-inch LCD screen can support 262,000 colors.

Via AVING and UberPhones

PS – The antenna only stays extended like that when using the satellite mode.
