So be prepared for an all new Direct PC desktops and notebooks which will now sport industry favs like Intel Core technology, Microsoft Office Basic, Vista capability, and port replicator capabilities and Bluetooth. Quite a heady mix if you ask me!

The entry level desktop model in the Direct line is the Gateway DX310S which includes a digital flat panel LCD display and Microsoft Office Basic. For unrivaled performance there is the Pentium D processor 930 with two processing cores, a fast 160GB(2) hard drive (7200RPM) and 512MB of DDR2 memory. Some other features to be found on this model are 16x multi-format DVD writer, ATI Radeon X300 based integrated graphics, 9-in-1 media reader, Windows XP Media Center Edition and the Microsoft Office Basic Edition 2003 including Word, Excel and Outlook. This one would cost around $800 however you can configure it according to ones need.

Direct line of Gateway notebooks features laptops like the 5 pounds NX260X which has impressive specs like Intel(R) Core(TM) Duo Processor T2050, 14.1-inch WXGA TFT display and 512MB of DDR2 667MHz memory. Users are given a HD of 80GB , combo CDRW/DVD drive and 7-in-1 media reader. Current advance technologies like Intel(R) Centrino(R) Duo Mobile 802.11a/b/g and Bluetooth are also found on the notebooks.
