    Sony DSC-T50 Photos and Info

sony-T50.jpgThe Sony Cyber-shot(R) DSC-T50 whose details were “accidentally” leaked on the World Wide Web has now been officially released by the company. This new digital camera carries on the Sony tradition of sleek ergonomics and nifty features.

The new Sony DSC-T50 is available in colors like Red, Silver and Black and is equipped with a seven mega pixels image sensor. Offering utmost functionality, this one will also appeal to all the fashionistas and the trend setters. However it’s just not a pretty package and apart from a 7 MP resolution, is also outfitted with a bright 3 inch touch-screen display with Sony's Clear Photo Plus LCD technology for higher resolution (230K).Its good to know that Sony is taking care when it comes to the LCD which many companies tend to ignore!

The DSC-T50 features a Carl Zeiss(R) Vario Tessar(R) 3x optical zoom lens; however it is the almost negligible shutter lag which is seen as a highlight. The Sony Cyber-shot(R) DSC-T50 has a shutter lag of just few milliseconds and the onboard Real Imaging Processor(R) circuitry further ensures extra quick performance and prolongs the battery life.

Who doesn’t like a Touch Screen Interface and the fact that its present on the digicam will surely attract a number of buyers. This one promises to be as intuitive as ever and one can also opt for the optional “the paint pen” which lets you write or illustrate on the image itself. With sensitivity mode of up to ISO 1000 one can take fast paced images and even click without worries in low light. It has an internal memory of 56MB and one can also view slideshows with music on the LCD and capture movies with ease. The new Sony DSC-T50 will be available from October and would retail for $500. Alpha Sony DSLR Camera Teaser

firstsonyalpha.jpgIt was a matter of time before Sony jumped in to the DSLR bandwagon, though why it took so much of time is beyond me. The company finally came clean with its DSLR which has been in the pipeline for quite some time and from the looks of it is a potential . The Alpha DSLR camera looks at the Konica Minolta for inspiration when it comes to design and Sony has confirmed that it will support all the lenses which were compatible with Minolta DSLR. The Sony Konica collaboration will be welcomed by many as both companies shares a common vision when it comes to the DSLR world. The name alpha was picked up by Sony because of what it implies. As many of you may be familiar alpha in Greek means new beginning or top quality and Sony promises that the DSLR will live up to its name. We for once can hardly wait and will keep you updated on this exciting development!

Fully compatible with lenses from Konica-Minolta and other manufacturers, Sony will be looking forward to welcome Konica-Minolta owners with Maxxum interchangeable lenses.

SONY Debuts 8GB Compact Vault Drive

Compact Vault 8GB.jpgSony is having a ball out there today. Sony Electronics today unveiled the Compact Vault 8GB drive, adding to it's long list of removable hard disk drives. The new drive is compatible with Compact Flash type II slots, and provides a significant increase in data storage over the current 5GB version. If you are bugged seeing the "out of memory" message in your digital cameras, then this one's probably the perfect one to go for, especially for high-end digital camera owners, who desire for 2,560 resolution JPEG images which consumes a lot of space on your conventional memory card.

The 8GB Vault drive is powered by transfer speeds of up to 12MB/sec and more to it is the capacity as it can hold up to 2,560 JPEG images (at 3MB each) or 320 minutes of MPEG4 video. Well, with all these it measures just around one and a half inches wide. The Drive is basically targetted at the photo enthusiasts and pro-consumers. I for the one feel that this is a must own model.

The 8GB Compact Vault will be available in June with a suggested retail price of $259.99.

    Sony S90 ReviewPro Review:
LetsGoDigital.org Review the Sony S90 Digital Camera and they write -"Sony decided at the beginning of this year that it was time to introduce a complete new line of digital cameras and thus Sony came out with the new S-series of digital cameras during the PMA (digital Imaging event in the U.S.A.) in February 2005. Equipped with a Carl Zeiss lens, a 3x optical zoom combined with a beautiful size LCD monitor and the unique Stamina technology gives this Sony Cybershot S90 some interesting specifications to play with. The Sony S-series is aiming at the starting photographer, so anyone should be able to simply and easily operate the S-line digital cameras.....
