digimate-ts1-memory-card.jpg The DigiMate III is a new device on the “transfer files” category that is able to copy and back up data from plenty of different memory cards to the DigiMate device itself, all this can be done without the help of a computer. There used to be a low-end version that didn't had a touchscreen color display - this is actually the main optimization on this third version.

The small (11.2 x 7.5 x 2.5cm) storage product only weights 140 grams and has a “huge capacity” for all kind of files including images, video audio and normal data files. It has an internal lithium-ion battery that takes 3 hours to complete a full single charge and only provides 2 hours of battery life which is a shame. Inside the package there is a soft carrying case, a USB cable and the AC adapter to pass hours recharging. The DigiMate III supports the following type of memory cards: SD, MMC, Mini SD, Memory Stick (normal, pro and duo), Compact Flash (type I and II), MicroDrive and last but not least xD-Picture Card.

So there you have it, only one device to gather data from all your different memory cards. It's available at USBGeek for $49.
