Dell XPS M1210 Ultramobile Notebook PC
The next generation of ultramobile notebooks is here. Dell unveiled the new Dell XPS M1210 notebook designed for the mobile professional, with a host of features and blistering performance. Made of highly durable magnesium alloy frame, the XPS Dell M1210 is RoadReady.
Featuring a 12.1" wide screen (well, how wide can a 12.1" screen be, really?) with TrueLife for next-to-natural images, you get WXGA resolution (1280x800 pixels). The base model comes with Intel 950 integrated GMA - which, although has the advantage of saving on the battery life, is not the best solution - or a spanking new Nvidia 256MB GeForce Go 7400 graphics adapter.
Dell's MediaDirect technology offers a one-button access for accessing your multimedia collection. By default, you get 1 gig of RAM, upgradeable to 2GB. An integrated 5-in-1 media reader is bundled with the XPS Dell M1210.
A lot of optional accessories are available - pinching your pocket more. An audio-visual communications package with 1.3 megapixel cam, earbuds and Skype is available, and then there's the mobile broadband connectivity with Cingular or Verizon. You can also plug in a TV tuner.
The Dell XPS M1210 runs Windows XP Media Center Edition 2005. Prices start at US $1,300. Details on the XPS lineup are available from Dell. Check the extended entry for full feature list.
