Dell today announced the release of the Dell Wireless 5700 Mobile Broadband ExpressCard, an ExpressCard solution for integrating Verizon EVDO (Evolution-Data Optimized) into your notebook. Users can connect without needing a Wi-Fi hotspot and anywhere connectivity means less downtime. A full unlimited data description to Verizon is USD80/month if you are not a Verizon subscriber and USD59.99/month if you are currently a Verizon customer. Did you notice that many manufacturers have now switched to including ExpressCard slots in the notebooks instead of PCMCIA slots. The good thing is it will work in the smaller slots that ultra portables generally have. Customers can purchase the Dell Wireless 5700 Mobile Broadband ExpressCard for USD179 with most new Dell notebook computers or separately through Dell Software and Peripherals.
