d620_250x250.jpgDell Inc., today announced two new laptops, Latitude D820 and D620. Both notebooks combines robust design with wide array of advanced and cutting edge features. Now lets take a closer look at the D620 here. Dell Latitude D620 redefines the mainstream corporate notebook with an innovative new wide-screen design, improved reliability, smart security & extended wireless options. The Dell D620 fits the bill for users who require performance, mobility and convenience in the workplace.

Weighing around 4.4 pounds, the Dell D620 is powered by a Intel Centrino Duo Processor running at clock speeds of 2.16 GHz, L2 Cache memory and a 667MHz FSB of BUS speed. It features a choice of 945 GM or 945 PM motherboard chipset. It includes a 2DDR2 RAM ports capable of holding upto 4GB of memory and on the graphics side, it includes a 256MB NVEDIA Quadros NVS Turbo Cache chipset. The display boasts of a 1440 x 900 resolution. It features a Password protection feature on the HDD and capacities rangin up to 100GB. The connecting bus includes Serial ATA (SATA) cables. The Optical storage includes a 8X DVD+/-RW, double layered DVD drive.

On the connectivity side, the Dell D620 is an absolute kracker with host of new features. Get Hyper Connected as the Grll D620 is designed with wireless connectivity as a priority and offers premium Wi-Fi productivity with dual-band Wi-Fi for connecting to any 802.11 a, b or g network and a special Dell Wi-Fi Catcher as well, which enables users to exactly determine the connection status. For example if the LED is Blinking Green - Searching, Solid Yellow - Weak Signal Found ( <70dBm), Solid Green - Strong Signal Found ( >70dBm), Blinking Amber - No Signal. Another optional feature of the D620 is the Dell Wireless 350 Bluetooth module. It also includes 4 USM2.0 slots. Another feature is the security feature which include, Physical Security, User & System Security and Network Security.

The Base configuration of Dell D620 is available at a suggested price of $1,149.
