Dell_Insp1705.jpgDual core laptops seem to be the thing at CES 2006. We've seen dual core babies from HP and Compaq. Not to be outdone Dell announced the Dell Inspiron E1705 a 17-inch widescreen wonder that runs on Intel's Centrino Duo mobile technology.

Among the other features of this desktop replacement are a 256MB NVIDIA GeForce Go 7800 graphics card, up to 2GB of 667 MHz dual channel DDR memory, an integrated 5-in-1 media card reader and Express Card support for those next generation devices. Optional parts include Dell's Ultrasharp display with TrueLife for even clearer images and a TV Tuner. It comes pre-bundled with Microsoft Windows XP Media Center Edition 2005.

The Dell E1705 starts at $2,299 and is now available in the United States.
