d620_front_131x145_ss.jpgDell loyalists are sure lucky. Not only do they have state of the art notebooks at their disposal but now they can access the celebrated BroadbandConnect service. The BroadbandConnect service launched by Cingular Wireless in the US, will now be seen in the recently announced Dell Latitude notebook series.

The latest offering by Dell includes the Dell D620 and Dell D820 Notebooks which would be configured with Cingular's UMTS/HSPDA-based 3G technology. This would thus result in global wireless data capabilities and users would have mobile broadband access in all US markets. When traveling abroad, the Latitude users can connect via EDGE or GPRS data service.

The BroadBand Connect Service by Cingular is available today in 16 U.S. markets covering 52 cities and it uses UMTS/HSDPA technology. In US alone it is capable of delivering speeds ranging from 400-700 kilobits per second (kbps) with bursts to more than one megabit per second (mbps). The New Dell Latitude Notebooks are available now and users can activate Cingular service via Dell and can opt for the unlimited plan at $59 per month.Cingular from Q2 will also introduce two international plans - a North American plan ($109.99 for 100MB) for travel within Canada and Mexico and an Overseas plan ($139.99 for 100MB). www.dell.com www.cingular.com
